Moor and Dale

exhibition venue:
The Dennis Potter Gallery
Moor and Dale is a personal response to the people and landscape of Nidderdale, an 'area of outstanding natural beauty' in the eastern foothills of the Pennines in North Yorkshire.
Over a three year period, Tessa Bunney worked closely with the community, recording activities such as moorland management and hill farming, producing a series of intimate portraits and landscapes that go beyond visual clichés and romantic notions of the countryside.
"I observed a very particular way of life, where a special relationship between its people, landscape and wildlife is crucial."
