exhibition venue: The Courtyard

The Conformity project looks at certain aspects of contemporary fashion and culture at the beginning of the 21st century. It concentrates on young individuals who want to be accepted into the peer groups they aspire to by conforming to a notion of an "ideal".

Many of the subjects use cosmetics and other forms of adornment such as tattoos, contact lenses, body piercing and other accessories, almost uniformly, to create an identity that locates them within a particular cultural or social group.

Promotional and editorial photographic work for flyers and websites. Clients include Flashback- Birmingham, and Fused Magazine- Birmingham.
