The series Disciplined Spaces documents and explores the three schools I attended between the ages of seven and 19. The work is very personal but, simultaneously invokes a collective memory of such institutions and touches on issues which are universally applicable.


Rather than acting as literal portrayals of the architecture, the photographs make these qualities function in a metaphorical way and raise questions about the level in which our everyday surroundings have an impact on our actions and behaviour.
