Ready-Mades
Atila I am convinced that in any town at any time there occurs a chance picture that deserves to be caught and saved.
I do not alter the image in any way. The picture already exists, so to speak. Possibly only for a brief moment. A car or a person might come past and wipe it out once and for all.
I explore the question of whether there is more to what we see than what we think we see. I carry away pictures that cannot be carried away.
It is an endless task, an eternal journey. As one picture is caught in one place, another is cropping up somewhere else. It is a constant race against time. And who will take on the job when I am no longer able to do it?
The thought that at any given time there are pictures that deserve to be caught and saved is always there in my mind.
