Young Peoples’ Food Project

Photography plays an important role in how we consume and eat food. Images of food invade our daily lives: advertisements in magazines and newspapers, photographs in supermarkets and on billboards along the street.

Taking the lead from Stan Engelbrecht’s work African Salad and working with the Community Youth Service across the county youth groups were asked to use the theme of food and create their own image of its consumption.
