| Katrina Lithgow is another successful
young photographer to come out of the Royal College of Art. Previously
an award winner at the John Kobal Awards, with an image from her "A
Series of Women", she has had her work in several national and
international solo and group exhibitions.
This new piece of work is about the baptism experience of people at the River Jordan in Israel. Displayed as large drape-like panels in a closed off dark space, the images impress us with the intensity of the transcendental religious experience of the baptism - a transforming and enriching of their life through water cleansing ritual and deep new commitment. |
